I got my husband a silver band when he gave me my engagement ring (granted, his was a LOT less expensive than mine! LOL)
He actually enjoyed it, and since he never wore any jewelry at all before that, it gave him a chance to get used to wearing something on his hand before we got our wedding bands. Now he wears his wedding band on one hand, and his engagment ring on the other.
You could get him a ring of his own, or a watch even. Something sweet and sentimental

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.

It's not expected and most people don't. You accepting is proposal was your gift to him. I would just wait until your wedding day and get him a little gift before the wedding. Have his best man give it to him for you so he knows you're thinking about him as you prepare for your wedding. Congrats!

I bought my fiance a new pair of glasses when he bought me the ring...but honestly, you don't have to. It's optional. When the guy buys the girl a ring, it usually comes with a proposal to marry him. It's your option to say yes. You're not proposing to HIM. No gifts for him (unless you want to).

There is no rule against it, BUT really your answer of Yes is supposed to be his gift, since it is the gift of "giving" yourself to him.
Its not necessary, but you most certainly can give him something.
Good luck!
