Even if it is a living organism like bacteria....would this change your religious beliefs? If so, how would they change?

Nope (no religious beliefs).

I don't think microscopic organisms would affect the faith of most people. They weren't known about when most religions were created, and their faith didn't change when they were discovered on Earth. So those shouldn't make a difference to too many people.

Animal-like organisms, on the other hand.. Maybe.

No.
As a Heathen, there is no basis for the arrogant belief that life exists only here.
The Gods may have developed life on other planets just as easily as they did on this one.
And some other planets might be doing better than us.

I would say intellegent life on another planet may have some insight to who created us all. The Bible says nothing about us being God's only creation.

He has been around for a while. I would figure He had done some creating before this planet.

No, God created everything, even life I don't know about, whether it's here or on another planet. If everything God ever did was written in the Bible, the book would be bigger than the planet. I just don't think we'll find intelligent life, even if it were there.

1. The place is too big. They'd probably miss us.

2. Why would they want to know us. We don't have our act together.

3. God wouldn't want us to - we'd corrupt them.

But I do think a hoax is possible, in order to get everyone running after them, to gain power over people.

I doubt any theists would change their position because of this. After all, religiosity isn't driven by logic, but need. Any logic in religion is usually post facto.

If NASA photographed Zeus reclining on a Titanian cloud chatting to Persephone, careful scrutiny of obscure Biblical passages would doubtless reveal that the event was foretold in Scripture.

No, wouldn't affect my belief in God. God created the heavens and the earth. That doesn't change even if something is found on another planet.

there is existence on different planets, have you ever considered how plenty is available. that's impossible for Earth to be the only planet to have the ability to take care of existence. i do no longer think contained in the infantile medieval theory of a god or gods. And we've Sunday to honor Father sunlight :) working in the direction of Shaman... quantum physics rocks.

They have already stated that they have found evidence of water on other planets. BUT if CNN said , tomorrow, that they found intelligent life on another planet...........I would be scared to death that Satan was getting ready to show his self and that God was getting ready to start the book of Revelations.

No. Even if a space craft dropped from the sky and other lifeforms stepped out of it I'd still remain agnostic.

It wouldn't change it at all. My beliefs are not based on what might or might not be on other planets, but what God has done for me.
