First of all, "terrorists" don't just "run into a mosque". If we have a cordon on a city, whoever we've got trapped in there will have tunnels dug, fallback positions in place, and have a serious plan of action when it comes to defense. Mosques just happen to be the biggest and some of the more defensible positions in a city, because of the minaret towers, and because the wide open places used for prayer facilitate its use as a field hospital and arms cache.
If you ever read on the Laws of Land Warfare, you'll find that enemy combatants who use places of worship and other locations such as schools and hospitals as defensive positions, remove all protections from the place they occupy. Thus, taking fire from a mosque means it gets flattened (of course, proportionality comes into play; a single rifle shot that may or may not have come from a mosque doesn't mean the on-site commander calls in a fast mover to drop a JDAM to level it). There are NO documented cases of a mosque holding things up in MOUT to th point where American troops have been completely unable to defend themselves.
And really, if you think the troops are being wronged by the Laws of Land Warfare, I remind you the kill ratio for Enemy Combatants vs Coalition troops is 20 to 1. Siege warfare like Najaf or Fallujah isn't the norm by a long shot either. I didn't fight in two tours in Iraq to behave like the Russian Army in Grozny or the Serbian paramilitaries in Sarajevo, so stop waving the flag over groundless conjectures.

I would said blow the dang thing down on top of them. And those who is against US for blowing the Mosque up. They shouldn't allow the one who is fight to seek shelter there.
Many country didn't sign the Geneva convention that would not permit them to used the Mosques as shelter in a time of war. If they do used the Mosques is fair game. That's is one problem that I have when you're fighting against a country that didn't sign this treaty.

That just shows that the terrorists are cowards, not willing to fight against our superior US and British forces. That is why they use IEDs (Improvised Explosive Device) instead of attacking our troops directly. All the more reason to eliminate them in Iraq not the USA.

You would call it in to your higher up and ask for permission to fire upon the mosque. At one point in time, the Marines were given clearance to fire upon ay buildings terrorist were hiding in without calling it in; everything was fair game.

Well at least now I know you're learning why we are having such a tough time over there. We (the US Military) have rules we go by, terrorists don't care anything about rules.

You're not the first person to ask that question. It's one hell of a way to run a war, eh?
