She was at the vet last week for blood tests and she is fine. She is being spayed soon thats why we had blood tests.
She ate wednesday and after eating, dry heaved. Was okay after. Thursday she ate okay, evening okay after eating. Then dry heaved. Friday too once. Today she just ate dinner, then dry heaved, drank water, dry heaved. She is having normal bowel movement and her urine is okay. She is playing and being her regular self. What could it be. Her vet is closed now, taking her in the morning asap. What could it be. She had the drops in her nose for kennel cough last week everything is up to date.

Pup only eats dry food, its not on the recall. Vet is closed or I would bring her right now! She is playing at this moment.

food poisoning...there has been alot of that going around...

if you think that your dog ate poisoned food. you shouldnt wait through the night.
some of the food contains a rat poison and it only takes hours to cause severe damage or death. you may need to make the decision to find an emergency vet.

good luck.

Sounds like an obstruction somewhere - get the dog to the vet ASAP! The Pharmacist doesn't know what she's talking about! A dog may vomit from a little "indigestion" but constant coughing, heaving and vomiting is a sign that your dog has an obstruction. If you don't somehow find a vet, you're in a world of hurt - and your dog is even worse off. His life is in the balance.

Seems kind of strange that she would dry heave when there is something in her stomach. She might be backward sneezing. My dog does this sometimes after drinking water, but some dogs do it when they get excited. If you say her name loudly, will she stop? Backward sneezing is voluntary and they can stop at will. Why don't you video tape her and take the video to the vet to see what he/she says.

Are you feeding her one of the recalled foods??????
Please check the list of dog foods that are on the poisoned list. And only feed dry food, atleast till they say it's safe to do otherwise.
I don't know for sure why she is doing this, but the food on the list has been reported to have RAT POISON in it. and has killed many dogs.
Make a Vet appt as soon as possable and have her Checked out, PLEASE!

If you find that she has been eating the bad food, call an emergency vet ASAP.

Good Luck

He's right! Go to the vet! Could be a lot of things depending on the age of your dog. Get her checked out better by a vet.

my dog had the same problem. she has such a sensative stomach. she used to throw up after every meal for months. we went to the vet and they gave us a special formula of dog food and she got better. now she's on regular dog food. go to a vet.

my dog does the same exact thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's not every time he eats but very frequent. He has done it all his life, he is 4 now. it's just eatting to fast or too much. he never actually throws up. when he does it i rubb his throat with my hand just a firm petting and it usally helps him stop. i would take her to the vet when you can get her in like monday morning. but don't stress too much over it. as long as she isn't throwing up.good luck!

Is your dog American? It's probably been watching George Bush on the TV, that's enough to make anyone sick. Seriously, take her straight to the vet!
