We live in Pomona and have a 2 year old. Any information about schools, weather, neighborhoods, etc would be greatly appreciated.

I live in Marietta and the best place to live in is East Cobb. Atlanta Country Club is a really nice neighborhood and it is in the Walton High School dis.(the number one school in georgia) Sope Creek elem. is a great and safe school.

You will LOVE that part of GA, Nice location/area as far as I'm concern that is the best part of Atlanta, I don't know much about CA but I've lived in many parts of GA for eight years and I have to travel through Marietta when ever I go to visit friends I travel through there ALL the time and just so you know Chattanooga,TN sets in between Atlanta and Tennessee a three hour difference in travel time just in case you care to visit the Country side. Marietta is a great town. You might also want to look into the town of Acworth. It is the town just north from Marietta, and they have a lot of new houses, apartments and tons of shopping. Marietta has shopping too, so in that area you will never have to drive far for whatever it is you are looking for. The weather is very nice.It obviously gets slightly colder here than in California in the winter, but you will absolutely love the spring and everything.

I'm making that move from Illinois to Marietta, Ga. I love the area. The cost of living and gas is very reasonable... lol.. You can find beautiful homes for very low prices also.. And it's not very far from Atlanta.

I moved from the Virginia (D.C.Area) to Acworth Georgia which is very close to Marrietta so you should check out both!Acworth and Marrietta have great schools and fair weather unless you dont like pollen.My neighdorhood has alot of nice house up for sale so if you want check out Shaw Lake subdivision in Acworth Georgia.
