A very stupid, trite little phrase invented by environ-Mental cases to make people afraid to go in the woods and track it up while hunting Bambi.~Nyuk! It makes no sense to sensible people. Look on the bottoms of your shoes. If they aren't black, you're safe.

It's a way of calculating your individual use of resources and using such a result to estimate how many earths it would take to have the entire population of this planet living the same lifestyle.

It's more commonly called an "ecological footprint" because that's more descriptive and easier to understand. Literally, it's the amount of impact you have. Like when you place your foot in a patch of sand, you leave a print: the calculator estimates how big your lifestyle's "footprint" is on the whole earth.

Check the links below. But be warned. the results you'll get are NOT a happy thing....there ARE ways to reduce your impact and I'll be happy to share some of my ideas if you so desire.....

It's the amount of carbon dioxide you are directly/indirectly responsible for, from your daily living.
Everyone has one. Heat, electricity, driving a car, etc.
There are many more/

Probably is some sort of chart. Try doing a google search or check Wikpedia. :)

Yeah, there are a few sites that let you actually see your carbon footprint, but as mentioned, google it and you'll get your answers.
