Everytime I step on the gas, it makes a high pitch grinding noise like when you need to have your brakes replaced but only when I accelerate or coast. When I brake it stops. I am having it looked at on Monday but wanted to see what it might be before hand.

sounds like the torque converter is making noise but check your bearings, and universals also check to see if the automatic locking hubs in the front are stuck half engaged

Could be the transmission. Sorry but Ford is awful. I will never ever buy a Ford again as long as I live.

It could also be the U joints of the driveshaft. Or even the bearings going bad in the rear axle. Hope its cheaper than the transmission one.

Its probably the CV joints.

My sons does that and he needs new U joints put in.

i had the same problem and it was the bearings. that hold the tire. go to midas they will help you.
