I have many abstract paintings I would like to sell but on eBay they don't sell for much and plus if I even want people to just view my listing I have to pay like $20 then I do put a slideshow with my other paintings listed but still. Does anyone have any ideas? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

Try doing an art search under art galleries in New York and Chicago, maybe Boston too.

Look at the galleries and see if your work would be an appropriate fit.

Call and speak to the director, introduce yourself (maybe e-mail) ask if you can send a few low res. samples of your work. Then wait to hear from them.

They are professionals, and expect professionalism from you as well.

You need to do the work of research here.

Wait until the weather warms up, I'm sure your town or another nearby has local street fairs, farmers markets, etc.

Try that.
