I'm am also OCD, and that chick above obviously doesn't have OCD, it's darn near impossible to control the compulsions and obsessive thoughts.
I wouldn't feel weird about it. What are the things that you do? I clean constantly, nothing is ever clean enough, I will clean every day for 8-10 hours, it's something I know is not right, but I still do it. You can't just tell yourself no.
I will start cleaning fish tanks at 3 AM, rearranging cupboards at 2am, it's something that can't be controlled alone.
I also obsess over dying and my family dying to the point of panic attacks, it's a pretty visious cycle, so anyway
there are meds that can help control it, but it doesn't work completely for me. I'm on Remeron and Zyprexa, plus Ambien to help me sleep, because I don't hardly sleep.
If you are a Cleaner like me, embrace that you have the cleanest and most organized house on the block.

I don't think you will be perceived as weird for having an OCD. Its not a big deal, unless your OCD posses some sort of a danger to the general public or yourself...which I am sure its not that bad. At any rate, if you don't want people to think you are different then just don't tell them about your OCD. Eventually, when the time is right you will feel more comfortable talking about it. Perhaps then you will realize that its not that uncommon. Everyone has some sort of OCD just some more than others.

There are definitely worse things than being OCD. I am not OCD myself, but I do know people who are, and I know how they are. I would say, take your meds and put it out of your mind. If you catch yourself doing something that you feel is caused by your "illness," write it down, keep a list, and maybe if those things bother you you can focus on them and try to eliminate them. Be OCD about being OCD, y'know? I have no idea if it will work, but it's a thought, anyway.

OCD doesn't mean that you're "different." It just means that you have rituals that you do repeatedly throughout the day. If you find that your rituals are consuming your life and embarrassing you, there are therapy programs that can help you learn to overcome your rituals and medication that can also help. Talk to your doctor.
Best of luck! Remember, everyone is a little bit "different" in their own way :-)

Its not anything u need to worry about, a lot of people have it, i know i do, i will things over 100 times if i have to, only to make sure the handwriting is perfect. If a picture frame is like haf an inch tilted, i cant go to sleep until its fized, even when its not in my house. It can get annoying, but its not anything to feel different about it.
