I agree and disagree. We mostly get excited over people who matter, but we do get mad at people we don't care about especially when they do something we don't like.

Disagree on the first point. If the mechanic destroys my alternator and tries to charge me for it, I'll get mad at him even though I don't necessarily care about him. On the second point, I agree with a caveat. We only get excited about people who matter _to us_. Who I am excited about probably doesn't matter to anyone else but me.

I would disagree based on the fact that your statement says 'never' get mad at people we don't care about - had it said most of the time, then perhaps I would have agreed.
I think road rage is a prime example of people getting mad/angry at people they don't care about.

Disagree...think about it....the guy who lives sitting on his horn in traffic. Complete stranger, why should we care? But we do, if he is honking, we are enraged...if we don't care what he thinks, why are we mad? The woman who is in front of us in the check out line with a cartload of stuff on the belt and she decides to 'go back' for something she forgot. She's a stranger, do we care what she does? You bet we do. Let's face it, if our family members pulled that crap, we'd be on them like army ants at a meat picnic. So, I humbly disagree.

Disagree, although we get angry at people we know, we may get even MORE angry at those we don't know who have offended, hurt (us of loved ones) or insulted us. Because we do NOT know them, we tend not to make excuses for their actions as we do with our friends and family.
