That means someone on the network has the same IP address as u. if u able to connect to the internet it is not ur problem, the other person is **** out of luck when it come to internet. Until you find the other person and change his IP address or have him repair his connection, DO NOT turn off ur computer, or u will lose ur internet to the other guy who is sharing ur IP.

Rather depends where you're getting the error message from, but it may mean there are two computers on your local network with the same IP number.
It's best to let the router assign numbers dynamically, to avoid this kind of issue.

Some more details, and less "or something" would help

either you computer company is having difficulty or your on wireless and theres more than one on the airways, if your on wireless try right clicking flashing bars lower right toolbox, look for your name click connect.
if your hard wired, you need to do these steps,1) shutdown system,2) unplug power to your modem count 20seconds replugin your modem, wait for all the lights to come on and the lights are not blinking, then restart your pc,it should fined your connection and reistall all nessary items.
Good Luck
