I might go on a People to People student ambassador program if my parents allow me. I want to explain to them that I will be able to fundraise enough for the trip, but I really have no ideas. Anyone have any ideas?

..And also does anyone know the average-y cost of one of these trips?

The average cost will be about $4,000 for like 3 weeks. Some ideas include "buying a day of your trip", holding a "send (your name) to (the country) party, writing to companies asking for sponsorships, and the regular ideas like a car wash or a bake sale.

It depends on the trip. I've been on one for about $6,000 and the one I'm going on this year is about $4,000. You could try talking to local businesses, the P2P website has info on how to do this. With your invitation letter, it should have given a couple of idea's or a place to find them. Last year, my delegation had a group fundraising roject, they sold "lottery tickets" where you could win up to three dollars back if you picked the right one. The tickets sold for five dollars, and I know a couple who made the entire tuition and spending money on them.

I would start doing it soon though, I'm pretty sure they have already stopped taking new delegates. You'll probably have to wait for next year, Good luck!
