My house isn't that big and I don't need that much space really so the rooms wouldn't have to be THAT big.

so i guess it wouldn't cost that much to add a couple of rooms to my house. Are you paying for this??? oh i am so excited... wait till my wife hears the good news.

We added two rooms to our tiny house. It cost about $30,000.00 each room. One was 20ft x24ft (bedroom, full bath and several closets). The other was 18ft x 28 ft. (Bedroom, sitting area, shower bath and laundry room. This is in Kansas and we had a contractor pour footings, build outside walls, install roofing and windows and doors. We did our drywall, insulation, painting, flooring, electrical and most of the plumbing, saving labor costs, but not materials.
Additional living space is wonderful but don't expect everything to run smoothly. Also,be specific about what jobs you want the contractor to do, and what you will do yourself. BE SURE TO GET IT IN WRITING AND BOTH PARTIES SIGN. People may or may not be honest, but many problems come from mis-communication.
You can do it - go make friends at your local lumberyard. They are always flattered to be asked their opinions and they will probably have a list of trustworthy remodelers. Love you, Sammy

You can start at $100.00 a square foot & well stop when you run out of money. Much, much more for kitchen's & baths.

You really need to run what you would like past a contractor to get an idea. Tell him what you would like done & how much you would like to spend.

And after you start be prepared to put out more money.

thats going to depend on a few things:

-How much of the work you have to contract out to professionals
-Material costs (which itself is dependant on location and quantity required for the job)

It can range greatly, but it's most certainly going to be in the thousands of dollars range and upwards.
