You need to eat! You are going to get yourself terribly sick doing this. If you are depressed go to a therapist and if you want to diet properly either talk to a doctor, nutritionist or go to one of the many dieting centers.

I'm with BMAC, you need to see a dr., that is not normal, and you are going to do damage to your body by not eating, that could last forever. Your dr. can put you on medication that will help with your depression. But you have to eat, in the meantime, try taking a multi-vitamin also, that will help you get a least some of what you should be getting by eating normally. I'd see the doctor, long term fasting (even if you're not doing it on purpose) can be very harmful, if this lasts longer than 7 days.. doctor, health clinic- you could even just call the health clinic- thats free and you can ask them questions about whats going on. I dont eat when I get depressed also- but it never physically hurt when I did which makes me worry a bit. I hope you feel better hun!

why you doing this again? cos your depressed? well how are your folks going to feel when your dead from malnutrition? you know that what your eating is far to little and you know that you will make your body fail you in more then just weight loss. I wanna lose weight but I also want LIFE! start eating and if you cant then get help my friend and soon, don't do this to yourself, you owe it to yourself to look after your body. wake up to what your doing before it too late, this ain't no joke its your life. Go get the help you need to stop you from being depressed. good luck.

well i know it's wring for me to say this but it's better to not eat when your depressed than to do so I've been depressed for about 4 months now and gained like 30 pound. just try to stop thinking about whats bothering you and fallow a balanced diet if you want to lose weight.

Starving yourself is not the answer. In fact, starving yourself can slow down your metabolism due to the breakdown of muscle. Why even allow yourself to be depressed in the first place? You only have one life, one life that isn't guarenteed; enjoy it while it lasts. There are hardships everyone must face in life, but they're only as bad as you make them.

once u start eating normal u will gain weight x2 because right now ure body is in starvation mode and once u eat again it will start to store fat due to the fact that it might think that itll starve again
dont go below 1200 calories..u need that amount just to live

Try 1200 calories. 13-100 is WAY too little. Drink ensure shakes, they aren't that bad tasting and they will give you a sufficient amount of calories and vitamins.

the diet has a direct effect on the endocrine system and obviously the endocrine system controls the hormones that dictate the mood, etc. not eating is just about the worst thing you can do for depression. please seek professional medical attention, you can't run or hide from depression especially when it is the result of many factors.

try to make yourself believe you are worth it. you need to eat. at least some crackers throughout the day even if you don't feel like eating.
