I've got really really dark brown hair naturally. I'm now at a medium brown with blonde highlights. My wedding is coming up and I want to look my best. Everyone in Hollywood is more beatuiful blone - but I'm not sure if I could pull it off. I'm scared to take a big plunge on such an important day.

people in hollywood do not all look more beautiful blond the people look prettier with their natural hair color the prettier ones USUALLY have brown hair

you can go to the hairstylist and ask for them for a sample of the color and hold it up to your head or you can dye the bottom of a chunk of hair (not that much just enough to see) and hold it up to your face and see if you like it

or you can get the kind that comes out after 2 weeks and get it died that color if you like this is the one i suggest so it is not permanant and will not ruin your hair dying it back

good luck

Take a photo of yourself, scan it into the computer and edit it with photoshop. Doesn't have to be a superamazing work of art sorta thing, but It's really useful for getting an idea of how it might work with your skin tone.

But..I'm not so sure about getting it done on your wedding day. For me anyways, even changing my haircolor and having other people /see/ it stresses me out alot! 'ohmygosh, what're they gonna say' sorta thing. That plus the wedding would be very stressful.

Though,it could also look really really great and fresh..It's a tough choice, but I say go for it!

Use www.clairol.com, and go to the Try It On Studio. just take a picture of urself and put it on there and it lets u try different hairstyles with different colors of hair.

or if ur wedding isnt for a while...maybe try dieing ur hair the shade of blonde u want..but not permanete. just the temporary one...and if u dont like it, wash it out. it wont wash out all the way after one wash...it will take a couple washes to get it all out so do it if ur wedding is like maybe weeks away and not days.
or ask a salon what they think....ask some friends.... try on blonde wigs....and ask what ur friends think.

Good Luck!! =]

since ur hair is a light shde of brown, get honey colored highlights first to see if that looks good.
if it does, then 4 weeks before ur wedding, get ur hair done blond and test it out for 2 weeks. if people like it, then keep it. if they dont, dye it back to ur natural color (so the roots dont show badly) if people tell you it looks good, ask for opinions like a lighter shade. if they agree, 1 week before ur wedding, get it done a lighter shade to your liking.
the day of ur wedding when u get ur hair done the stylist can re-do your roots and highlights before the actual up-do or style!

Go to google.com and type in Fall fashions 2006. Scroll down to I think the second page, and click on ivillage.com virtual makeover (you have to go to google because the current site doesn't have it any more). You can put in a photo of you ( FOR FREE!!!!!!!!!) and see how you look with blonde hair! Have fun being a blonde (or brunette, or red-head.....)

My hair is medium to dark brown.. and my real mom dyed my hair blonde when she came up to visit me, i had blonde hightlites in mine as well.. Where i had the blonde highlites.. it turned kinda orangish.. becuase of the other blonde that we put it in... But eventually it went away. Mine look really nice until it started growing out.. i had couple inches of brown hair(from where it had grown out) and then it went straight to blonde.. looked kinda retarted.

Just keep getting more and more highlights.. the more you get, the more blonde you become.. if it becomes too much and you dont like it, throw some brown low lights in and you wont be screwed

Go to a sylest and ask them their opinion. You never know I tryed dying my hair blonde again and it turned orange :(. You could also visualize remember your hair will be the same, not straigther, curlier but a little drier.

You don't want to damage your hair! I now my answer is silly but it might work! Try on a blonde wig thats the closest color to what you want to to change your hair to, if you like what it looks like then dye your hair blonde! If you don't like it then keep your hair color!

Why don't you go a wig store and see what, if any, is the exact perfect shade of blonde for you. Good luck!
