John 15:10 = "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love."
Jn.14:15 = "If ye love me, keep my commandments."
Heb.10:16 = "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;"
James 2:10 = "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."
Rom.6:14-23 = "14For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
15What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
16Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
19I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
20For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
21What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
22But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Rom.8:4,7 = "4That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be."
1Jn.2:3 = "And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments."
1Jn.3:24 = "And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us."
1Jn.5:2-3 = "2By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous."
Revelation 14:12 = "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus."
Rev.22:14 = "Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."

TEN COMMANDMENTS IN OLD TESTAMENT
1. Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.
2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath. or that is in the water under the earth: thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation that hate Me; and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me, and keep my commandments.
3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh His name in vain.
4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work; but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.
5. Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
6. Thou shalt not kill.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ***, nor anything that is thy neighbor's.

no; the will of God is to have faith in his son, Jesus christ. If you think your way to heaven is keeping the commandents you will be lost. The ten commandments were for the Jewish nation; ;not only moral laws but civil laws(we have our laws also; do not kill, etc). If you are one who thinks the ten commandments are for Christians you should be keeping the saturday sabboth in its entirety. Read pauls writings in Romans. Faith in Jesus Christ makes us a new creature. we dont need laws any more. we have become what the law asked of us but we were unable to do, as we were the old man; not born again of the spirit of Christ.

I always thought it was, but apparently I was wrong. I know in Matthew somewhere (matt 5???) Jesus says they're supposed to keep all the laws from the OT, but some christians have told me it's not true. I think they pretty much do what they please and then just say "sorry", because I certainly don't think they're calling Jesus a liar.

Who can keep them? Ever tell a lie? Or let a lie stand? Ever unfair or disobey your parents or cuss? Breaking one is breaking them all. That's why we need grace.
