RAM (Random Access Memory) is something you have to buy - it's a piece of hardware, a physical thing that you plug into the system board. It's not a program that you can copy from someone else. If you're not going to buy it, then wither you won't be able to run The Sims2, or you can hope that someone will give you some for free - fat chance of that happening.

If it ran before on the same computer, it should run again. You can try re-installing it regardless of what the requirements say.

Or, if that won't work, you might disable various memory-hogging elements of Windows and see if that frees up enough to install the game.

And if that doesn't work, you will have to buy extra RAM.

adding ram is adding new hardware to your machine, so you will have to buy it if you want to add more. You can try and free up ram/memory by removing things running in memory, like AOL, etc.
