On thursday, I broke out in this really bad rash on my arms and legs. I went to the dr and she said its probably a virus rah caused by my cold that I had. Well the next day it got worse and spread everywhere else, even my face, feet and hands. This morning when I woke up my hands were so swollen I could not even close them! I went to quick care, and they gave me a shot and told me it was an allergic reaction to something. The only thing I have done different is about a week and a half ago I started taking centrum. Could there be something in there that I am reacting to? Could it be from a virus? I have never had anything like this happen to me before, and I sure dont want it to happen again, this has been a miserable few days!! If anyone out there has any help to offer, I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks!!!

I did the same thing almost 30 years agon. You can have that eaction to chorline in water, did you swim? To tanning booths, and to sun. They discovered many years later I have a mild form of lupus. You can spend a lot of money and time finding out they can't tell you excatly what it is. Allergery tests were done on me, special clinics, yada yada- If you have doen none of the environmental things, then maybe it is something you ingested. My rash lasted three months and it got realy ulgy. Stay out of the sun , wear hat to avoid scaring on your face. I forgot this year and as promised I have developed marks on my face wear the rash once was. It is not life threatening. and not alot to do about it. Actually taking a benedryl every night after it cleared up, helped the most plus avoided all fun in the sun.

Ask your doctor for a referral to an allergist. If you get tested for different allergies, then you'll be able to pinpoint what caused your rash (and how to avoid it).
