Any suggestions for a car w/ a decent amound of cargo space?

I've been looking for a honda cr-v or toyota rav4 for about a month, but I can't seem to find one that fits my requirements. I'm looking for a manual transmission, v4, 4wd (preferrably, but not necessary), 20-30 mpg, extremely reliable, and below about $10,000, give or take. Unfortunately, this has proven to be nearly impossible to find since many of these smaller suv's have automatic transmissions. Any suggestions for something similar would be helpful. I've also been looking around at the toyota matrix and others about that size. thanks.

How about the Suburu Outback? I've heard it's gotten very good reviews. Looks like a cool station wagon...
