the bresse chicken comes in most searches i have searched. where on earth can you find them though? we want some gourmet chicken since we raise chickens already. anybody know any more info?

basically it is a free ranged corn and milk product fed chicken.Best I know you can't get them in the U.S.A. If it is gourmet your looking for you can cross a chicken and a pheasant.Short of that the flavor of a chicken has a lot to do with what it eats.The size at which it is butchered and they means in which it is kept.

The frence raise lots of different breeds of chicken, just like we do. If the one you are looking for has black and white bars (stripes) on it's feathers and lays really dark brown eggs then you are thinking of a maran.
