I've read the tanslation of this chapter in english:

16. Relate in the Book (the story of) Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place in the East.

17. She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent her our angel, and he appeared before her as a man in all respects.

18. She said: "I seek refuge from thee to ((Allah)) Most Gracious: (come not near) if thou dost fear Allah."

19. He said: "Nay, I am only a messenger from thy Lord, (to announce) to thee the gift of a holy son.

20. She said: "How shall I have a son, seeing that no man has touched me, and I am not unchaste?"

21. He said: "So (it will be): Thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: and (We wish) to appoint him as a Sign unto men and a Mercy from Us':It is a matter (so) decreed."

22. So she conceived him, and she retired with him to a remote place.

Yo should first have asked another question:

How did Muhammad put anything into his book if he was illiterate?

After we answer that question we can consider yours.

Muhammad didn't write the Quran. Allah sent the verses to Muhammad through Angel Gabriel. Mary was indeed a special person and Allah wanted everyone to know what kind of person she was and what she had to go through. It has nothing to do with Muhammad not listing his own mother or anything of the sort. The Quran is the word of Allah Almighty.

first off muhammad didnt write the quran or put anything in it. and second there is a chapter of the quran dedicated to marry because as a muslim you believe jesus was a prophet sent to mankind before muhammad and that his mother (marry) was impregnated with him as a miracle, she is also called the most honerable woman of all time more then the prophets mother. i dont know if that answered anything for you

I believe, and I may be wrong, That Mohammed falsely believed the Christian Trinity to be God, Jesus and Virgin Mary. Once he started quoting verses from the Angel Gabriel, that said that polytheism was filth, and that attributing partners to God was an abomination, his hands were sort of tied about writing a Gospel about Jesus.
Writing a chapter about his mother, quite impossible. Mohammed's mother died and he was an orphan early in life. He was raised by his uncle.
Talking about Mohammed's mom is probably not so PC either.

Mohammed .pbuh. didn't write the Qur'aan. Allah revealed it to Mohammed .pbuh. over a period of 23 years. it's the only book not written by followers. it was revealed and sent by God himself.

because he didn't make it up, it's not the word of man, it's the word of god.

He put nothing inthere from himself. It was god's word brought down to him.
