Hi, I'm taking the Glucophage 800mg - its way bigger than any other pill Ive ever taken before! I've choked on it several times which has made me traumatized and not want to take it again. My question is can you choke and die from a pill?

Yes, you can choke on it if it gets stuck in your throat---especially now if you are nervous, and tense up.
Call the doctor who prescribed it and ASK IF IT CAN BE CUT, OR CRUSHED!!!
NEVER cut a medication with out asking your doctor or the Pharmacist who filled the prescription.
Some are specially coated, or made to be SLOW release, and if you cut it it may release to rapidly into your body.
This medication is for Diabetes? Check with the Doctor!!

Yes you can you can even choke on a chip
Go back to your Doctor and ask for two smaller ones instead. Just be very careful
and Good Luck Remember to drink plenty fluids

You can choke and die on anything that gets stuck. Can you cut the pill in half?
