amount of calories and at what times

Breakfast should be your biggest meal because of the long period of time your body goes without food during sleep. Then throughout the day, keep your calories consistent meal to meal. Try to limit the fat intake since fat takes up the most calories, keep protein to approximately .8 to 1 gram per kilogram of your bodyweight, and keep complex carbohydrates as your top priority.

Cereal for breakfast
Piece of Fruit for mid morning snack
Salmon and Cucumber Sandwich (None of that chicken mayonaise stuff that has hundreds of calories) for lunch and a Banana (Bananas keep you full for hours)
Carry a nutrigrain as a snack for mid to late afternoon.
Dinner, eat a moderately portioned dinner, which consists of a lean cut of meat, veg and another side.
That should be all your calories spent I think, it may be a tiny bit over...
You're probably trying to lose weight, looking at that calorie intake, and yours is a sensible one. Some people go extreme and try to live on something crazy like 800 calories, half your amount.
Generally though, if you're a woman, you should be getting about 2000 calories a day, man, 2500 calories.

Split it into 6 meals per day.
Have a total daily amount of about:
207 grams of carbs from high fiber sources (828 calories).
127 grams of protein from lean sources (508 calories).
Add nuts such as walnuts to bring your daily fat intake to 35 grams (315 calories).

These add up to 1651 calories which is close enough.

This should give you plenty of carbs for energy and enough protein for tissue repair.

I would suggest to eat 3 meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) with each one being about 400 calories and two snacks in between with about 200 calories each. And eat those with about 3-4 hours in between each meal or snack. That way your metabolism keeps going without going into starvation mode and holding on to your fat.

Very carefully. Watch out for those hunger pains around 4:30 and at 9:15 so save a few walnuts for then.
