when i always take him a bath he doesnt leave or scratches me i've heard that cats hate water why doesnt he hate water???

some times if a cat is bathed form an earliy statge of kitten hood, they get use to the water. if the rutetine is keep to bathe them the will learn to love it. some time if a cat has never been given a bath that eairly, then the hate it, beside going over to get some water to drink.

Yea, some cats don't hate water. I had a cat who I had to make sure was shut out of the bathroom any time anyone took a bath or he'd be in the tub with you (basically on top of you but completely wet and splashing around). My current female cat doesn't like deep water but she likes to wade, gives you this "HA! I am the bravest cat alive and I'm not afraid of water!" look--she actually wants you to stand there watching her wade around the tub. As with anything, most information is very general and there are always exceptions--so you might as well face it, you've got an exceptional cat.

Not all cats hate water. Some breeds such as the turkish van and bengal love water! Cats can be desensitised to water with gentle and consistent training. Show cats are bathed all the time and whilst some done like it, they tolerate it but then there are others who just love it!

Consider yourself lucky. Some people have to deal with bites and scratches on a regular basis. My cat's don't like baths much, but they don't hurt me. Some cats just love the water. The Turkish Van breed is supposed to love the water. You just got lucky!

There are some cats that enjoy water, I have never met one though. I think some cats like the cool feeling of water when it's really hot. If you can bath your cat without being almost killed in the process consider yourself lucky.

I once had a cat who seemed to enjoy water...he would even swim around the tub when I gave him bath. I have no idea why as most cats really hate the water.

Not all cats hate water, just most of them. There are actually several breeds that love to swim, the Turkish Van and Norwegian Forest cat both love the water; and of course, tigers! Some lions in Africa have even learned to kill in the lakes.

Personality. Not all cats hate water. You've heard incorrectly, because people see certain things, categorize/stereotype and then assume the same is true for the rest of the group categorized.
I've taken care of a cat who loved playing with sink water. :)

Some breeds that have been domesticated have been to start with Desert animals. That could have whatever to do with it. Some cats love water. I consider for probably the most facet it generally "surprises" them to get rainy or sprayed all of a sudden. Probably simply "extra at ease" to be dry, primarily with their kind of fur, than it's to be rainy.
