Cans taste bad, yes they can get colder quicker but also get warm very quickly. A stubbie cooler helps but then if going down that track get the bottle since it will taste better regardless.
In a pub it can be a crapshoot with the bottle being the safe option as the glasses are not always chilled and beer may not be watered down, stale or tapped by a skunk.
For a special treat though I have some glasses with a thick base that I will put in the freezer for a while then pour the bottle beer in there. That is the ultimate winner.

Bottled beer - straight from the bottle.
Tinnies taste too metallic so pour into a glass that you've had in the freezer for at least 15 minutes - It's like being on holiday.

Glass, I love the look of having a Guiness glass full of black beer in front of me. A bottle is a no no unless its Budweiser, as Guiness in a bottle tastes awful, I'm a massive fan of Guiness but the bottled stuff tastes totally different like a dead animal rotted in there...
Also glasses hold more than cans, (just slightly) so you get more at the pub :) it may only be a bit but every drop counts.

From a bottle - that way I can put my mouth around the neck where flies have been walking, dogs have been piddling and the barman has been touching after going to the toilet and handling money.
Alternatively lets go for a can - that's an even better landing strip for flies, with the added advantage of a metallic taste to match the crap beer and the head forming in your mouth.
Yummy.
Difficult choice isn't it?

well back home me and my girlfriends had a saying beer already comes in a glass so why waste another glass. and since we were all bottle fed at one point in our lives it is only natural to drink from a bottle. and cans are just wrong..i hate the taste of aluminum

A glass....I don't like them chilled or frozen as it takes away from actually tasting the beer. Especially if you are drinking great beer, you do not want to "shock" your taste buds, rather if you drink a beer that suggest that it be served at a particular temp a frosted or frozen glass won't help you savor it. Most big breweries that produce the standard american lager want you to drink it ice cold, craft brewers typically labe their beers with temperature and glassware guidelines. It behooves one to actually use those guidlines.

1... A can. Punch a hole on the side at the bottle. Place hole to lips and pop the top and start swallowing. 12 oz. in my belly in about 3 seconds. 2... A 48 oz. beer bong (large funnel & plenty of clear 1/2" hose). People in the spray zone (corners of mouth) get soaked, but you get hammered. Fill me up!

From a bottle. I can't drink a Heineken in a mug, glass or can. It just doesn't taste the same.

Glass, from a can or bottle seems to go flat really easily.
