She says she feels sick - nausoious.. and she want to sleep. She also still has diaharear - everythign she eat's goes right through her.......
HAs anyone ever heard of anything like this.. no ideaq what kind of oral contrast it was, but it was clear like water...

If it is severe, I would go in. You don't want her to dehydrate... and I agree don't take advice from people on here. It is common though for oral contrast dye to cause diarrhea. I am not sure how long this generally lasts though. I know it can take a week for the majority to work it's way out of your system.

Are you sure it was contrast and not the prep solution? CoLytely is a clear prep that cleanses the bowel to enhance visualization during tests. It causes cramping and diarrhea (that's how it cleans out the bowel). This can in turn lead to a burning stomach. Oral contrast for a CT scan is usually milky colored. If she is not able to keep any liquids down by mouth and the diarrhea continues..she needs to contact her MD immediately.

if it's really not that bad you could wait and call your family doctor, but somethings like that they just send you to the ER anyways. So I would just go to the ER. You mom is probably really dehydrated and it would probably be a good thing if she went so they could give her fluids through the IV and that would help her.Otherwise shes going to get really weak and lose weight...I would just go...Good luck..I hope your mom feels better

verify with the well-being care expert. you may call the workplace & communicate with the answering service. they are going to touch the well-being care expert or nurse on accountability & somebody will call you back with concepts. lots of the contrasts use an extract modern-day in shellfish, so if your mom has an hypersensitivity or sensitivity to shellfish that would desire to describe the reaction. extra of a reason to call.

my advice, don't take medical advice from people on the net...go see a doctor or visit your emergency room,

P.S. Nurses are NOT Doctors !
