I tend to not bother. An insecitcide drench on the soil should do it, but they'll come back eventually.

For fungus use Clorox about 1/2 cup in a spray bottle. Don't spray it on cloth materials as it will take the color out.
The gnats is Much easier. In small saucers put about 1/2 full apple Seder vinegar and put in a little hand wash soap. stare it and set the saucers around. The gnats get sick and drowned.
