It's possible but only speculation right now.
Eventually global warming might make something happen to get things colder, like making enough clouds to do that. Just people guessing, there's no data based basis. If it happens it will likely be hundreds of years from now.
A somewhat more likely possibility is that melting ice releases enough fresh water into the ocean to disrupt warming ocean currents. That could make some specific locations colder, like Europe. Not enough to cover Europe in ice, or make people flee for their lives, but enough to ruin their agriculture.
But unlike global warming, which has a huge base of hard data supporting it, these are just speculations.
The best summary of that data base is here:

Global climate change causing an ice age is "theoretically" possible. Should the land based glaciers melt into the ocean the sudden massive influx of fresh water could possibly disrupt the warm gulf-stream current causing it to move offshore or shut down all together. If this happens the Northern Hemisphere could experience a rapid cool down.
This is all speculation done with massive computer models, and only one possible effect of global climate change.
I for one hope we as a species get smart enough to limit climate change before that happens.

Global warming could cause serious problems but not a new ice age. Just think about the name:global WARMING. If a new ice age was going to happen, it would be the result of just the opposite of global warming.

We have been gaining understanding of roughly this in technology immediately. the factor is that worldwide warming isn't being led to by way of people. Its occurring certainly. the certainty that people use a lot technologies and different products that are wasteful for the ambience is in basic terms dashing up the approach. i don't probable know a lot concerning the little ice age yet optimistically this helped out slightly!!

Yes, basically it is already discovered that 11500 years ago, what means on the end of last ice age, strong mechanisms were remotely pushed in the way you already know about, the reason that come to this ice age was following:
Higher volcanic activities that causes a at first critical mass of glass house gasses that increased at first basically earth atmospheric temperature. How do we know that? The group of Scandinavian scientists are doing decade old research in masses of polar ice and they taking drilled layers of different shifts of ice, they discovered ice with 7-10 times higher measurements of Co2 for period of time that was before last ice age, Co2 is basic gas from family of glasshouse gasses, after that snow on polar caps increase in mass faster and more uncontrollable, why more moisture in air from the hotter seas just made a circle from sea to Antarctica and Artic, after that happened following, destabilized masses of a floating and renegade ice masses from polar areas just made salinity of seas less, under the minimum it's started devil scenarios, our beautiful Golf stream and others seas streams and mega currents that works as a earths A/C stopped, making North Europe under tick ice and North America deep frozen, our last ice age did not last so long as the previous ones but it was more than enough to make fossilized leftover of Mammoths easily found between Holland and Great Britain isles.
Now we start this process with our industry not thinking about the future, how it will end, I do not know.
Does end of this process can be dangerously near, yes, all of scientific prognoses are pointing to same, we are just playing with illusion that earth can heal itself.
Whatever tomorrow brings I wish you love, health and happiness.

I've heard the same thing on the discover channel, I think. It was interesting, because seems like it said if the polar ice caps or most of the ice up north melted, some of the largest cities on the coasts could be underwater.

There will be another ice age, no question about it. It will happen for the same reasons it's happened before.
