Wow. No wonder he was laughing. Of course you're suppose to keep the box. He's not going to stand there and wait until you finish the pizza and give him back the box. It's unsanitary and the pizza store doesn't want the box back.

First you order the pizza. Then you wait. They ring the doorbell. Then you open the door. You give him the money and maybe a tip. Take the pizza inside and eat it. Then when you're done, throw away the pizza box in the garbage.

LOL, your crazy! Well you bought the pizza silly! OF COURSE YOU CAN KEEP THE BOX. Here are some cool things you can do with your left over pizza box as well :
A refrigerator can display only so much artwork, so here's another way to preserve those prized possessions. Store them in a pizza box portfolio.

OR KEEP THE BOX COVER IT IN YOUR OWN DESIGN WITH CONTRUSTION PAPER GLUE GLITTER STICKERS ETC.. AND THEN MAKE YOUR OWN PIZZA BRING IT TO A PARTY GREAT BOX AND PIZZA AT THE SAME TIME!

Perfect Pizza Protocol, calls for the recipient to transfer the pizza to plate or platter of her choosing, and immediately return the pizza box to the delivery person. The cost of the box sometimes comes out of his salary. A "tip" is usually expected.
