Here are some exercises I remember.

1. making a hard "Huh" sound while standing. Breathe in, and then, "huh-huh-huh" for a few seconds the first time, then increase it slightly each day.

2. Singing "May-me-maw-moe-moo" or something similar all in one breath. Start at the bottom of the scale, and then sing each note in the scale.

3. Take a deep breath, and exhale as slowly as possible. Try to lengthen the time before you have to breathe in. This could also work if you were near a pool or whatever. How long can you stay underwater by breathing only a couple bubbles at a time.

Those are the ones I remember. Hope they help.

Take a big breath and then slowly let it out in a soft "s" sound. Try to make the "s" as soft and even as possible. Time yourself with a second hand, and each time you do the exercise, try to go just a little bit longer. Be sure to relax your neck and shoulders. Try the same exercise with the "oo" sound on different pitches. Higher pitches take more air to sustain.

If you practice these exercises every day--just a few times each day--you will see vast improvements pretty quickly.
