wow, that's not alot to go on but you might want to look into any military records, there are websites that locate people for a fee also. Does anyone in your family have any other information on him?

well that may be hard if you don't have his excat date of birth. does your mom know more info. but just hope that he is still alive if he was born in 1949 that would make him roughly around 58 or 60 years old give or take some years considering you don't have his excat dob
