Just a lot of internet search, you can find a vet clinic a lot have boarding also. I'd look into the bigger chains like Banfield, VCA. If not just do a city by city search, lots of work.... good luck

Ok so you are traveling with dog in tow. I would suggest you go about routing out your destination via a googled map first as to how many towns you have in between your starting point and that of your final destination area. Next, go check by calling a few of the clinics that are within this area of travel for pricing for lodging your dog and any vet fees for whatever he needs. Only you know what your dog needs at moment because I cant physically see him/her to tell you based on the medical aspect. But to further the information I am suggesting...With this option, as you go if the dog gets sick you have a wide option of vets and such to go to in any event of emergency. Also if there will be problems you have referral places for that vet to contact. But if you intend to keep dog close to home try some of the places you boarded previously. Many a times your local vet will board a dog on a small scale housing fee for the length of your trip. For addition fees they will give your dog shots and do routine checks to make sure he/she remains healthy. And by the way, where do you intend to travel? Reason I have to ask is because this question gives no real indication to truly give you all the information you want and with what you really need to know I cant find too much for you. Without that knowledge to where you are actually headed first I am lost in translation.
Sorry if I can't be of better service but I hope my ideas help some.

If you know the route you're taking look to see the towns in the areas you will be traveling and check a head of time before your trip for local vets in the areas in which you'll be staying in or traveling through.

I think it is wonderful that you are thinking ahead in regards to your dog. :).. If you use the yellow pages on your internet browser home page you should be able to plug in veterinarians (spelling) and the city name and state and get your answers. Also, look for motels that are pet friendly. A lot of the major motels will allow you to have your dog in the room with you overnight now.

You might want to make a print out on mapquest.com and start from the beginning to final destination then you should contact your vet and they might know of places if not, then do a search in the bigger cities regarding "boarding pets" that should help you alot.

I don't, but I'm sure someone will. However, I understand there are also links for places you can stay with you dog along the way.

Ask your vet, if they have that information on file, that they can give you.
