computer help!?

Question

ok i accidently opened an exe file and opened it with windows media player. well all my files open with window media player that are in exe format. is there a way to undo this. PLEASE help me !!!!!!! i have windows vista home premium what are my options

You have to restart in "Safe Mode, Command prompt only". Once you do this, you can run regedit. After opening the editor, drill down to the this location and place these entries there.

After you set these in the registry, you can exit and restart.

i think u want to go to windows explorer
tools > folder options > file extensions tab > find .exe on list and remove or change to application

exe files cant open with media player, i cant understand.

If this was a recent change, you can repair this by doing a SYSTEM RESTORE to a time prior to when the change was made!
