Why do religious people always feel that they need to be reassured that they have chosen the right path ??

It is like this I am married for almost 18 years. When my husband & I tell each other we love each other we are reasurring are love for one another. I think as a Christian by praying each day, going to church I am reassurring the right path I have chosen. As human there will be doubt at times.

Only when I was a teenager and not sure of myself or my path in life-- but that is normal for that age.
I don't need to be reassured anymore by anyone but the Big Guy Himself.

Their religions have pounded into them that if they don't go exactly by the (good) book their souls will dwell in hell's fire forever and ever and ever and ever. Did I mention forever?? If you don't go to church (and give big bucks)..it's hell. If you don't go to confession....it's hell. Cherish the rosary or hell. See? They're afraid not to be right. Religion's gotcha right where they wantcha. Don't forget to bring your wallet.
