There's no reason for it. She has some great male friends. But she just starts treating men she fancies with distaste and is unecessarily rude or obnoxious. I know she is insecure and I have tried to help by telling her how great everyone thinks she is and that she just needs to engage those she likes, but I just feel as if I am patronising her. She now says that she has settled on the fact that she will never find a man and has given up on men altogether. There must be some way I can help? She is just so unhappy.

She's 27 by the way and unfortunately very much into kids/marriage.

PS. The Queen of BS - Yes I was born in Australia. Stereotypes came from somewhere.

you just have to leave her. when she finds the right guy, it will take her some time but she WILL be comfortable. just keep taking her out and helping her meet people. maybe just dont make her meet men that will intimidate her. she will be fine you dont have to worry. its her own insecurities she needs to deal with. you cant help her no matter how much you try. you'll prob end up making it worse. xxx

Don't look for an answer. You as her friend and I assume confident and mentor, just need to be a friend. There is no law to say she must have a boyfriend, she must find a man.

Finding a person of the opposite sex that we are comfortable with is never easy.

Take care that you and your cronies are not continually taking and parading her in front of leering men in the hope she stumbles accross Mr Right.. She needs to rediscover, the giggling little girl she once was.

When she does she will be happy with herself, and be able to meet Mr Right on her own terms, without pressure from parents. chaperones, friends, or 'everybodyelse'.

There is a song, is there not, 'Girls just wanna have fun'? So go out and just have fun. If that doesn't work then there is a need for a spritual dimension.

She may be unhappy darlin.. But this is her choice. I know you may want to help. I would want to too. What i would do is leave her. I used to be rude to people i liked but only because i didn't want to let anybody close enough to me to get to know me properly. She will find a man.. No matter how much she says she won't. She definitely will. I hate being alone. And i hated being single when i was. I have a boyfriend now and i love him a lot and she will see people in her everyday life and realise she wants somebody. She will find somebody, it just takes time. Give her the time she wants and needs. Maybe she hasn't found a characteristic in the men in which she likes. She'll come around :) Hope this helps. Take care x

Go out with a good looking guy with her. Be a friend by her side. When she starts being loud, softlly tap her leg or something. If she gets out of control, take her to the bathroom. Talk to her, but to him. Example, "Molly, tell me and Jerry what happened with that.." or somethin.
Good luck.

Perhaps she is nervous, or just simply doesnt know any other way on how to react to men in that situation. It could be down to her upbringing, the way that shes see other women treat men. Anything really..

Sounds like your friend is a little shy, this is normally the case and people forget about this because, well they just dont think about it lol, it's natural to be like this.

Maybe she isn't looking for Mr. right if you know what I mean.

unfortunately, most girls in today's society are insecure! there's not much u can do except build up her confidence! make a point to always coment on her hair, clothes, makeup etc! with whatever she does, make her feel great about it!
besides that it's impossible to change her, she is the one who has to be content with herself! u can pray for her- thats about it!
Good Luck
