According to most Christians if an embryo is aborted its soul will either go to heaven, or just die.
However, if it is born, it's chances of becoming a Christian are less than 50% (since only about 1/3 of the world is Christian). And, according to Christianity, if it does not accept Christ, it will be forever tormented in the flames of Hell.
Furthermore, if you believe that only one particular Christian sect (e.g. Mormon, Evangelical, JW, Catholic) will not go to Hell, it's chances of being in that faith must be about 5%.
So, if you are against abortion, you're supporting an outcome where the vast majority of souls will be forever tortured.
Doesn't it make more sense to just end the life of the embryo or fetus?

Come on everyone... free choice will most likely result in the soul being tortured in Hell. What kind of "caring" Christians are you?

I'm an atheist. So according to Christians, I (along with at least 65% of people) will go to Hell where I will be eternally tortured. I would gladly give that up for having been killed as an embryo (let's face it - a few minuets of torture is better than eternity).

If a child does not get the opportunity to come to Earth and be born, then that person will never have the chance to choose right from wrong. Choosing right from wrong makes people wise, helps us to spiritually grow, Heavenly Father created the Earth and made this divine plan so that we could come to Earth be tested and spiritually grow. Babies that are aborted do not get this wonderful chance to come to Earth and experience life.
Also Mormons do not believe that other non-mormons will go to hell.

That is absolutely the stupidest and lamest argument in favor of abortion I have ever heard in my life. With your argument there should absolutely never be another birth ever anywhere.
You sir are ALMOST a blithering idiot!
And I hope and pray with every fiber of my being that you are highly offended by this answer, because it was intended to offend you.
Wouldn't the world be a better place if your mother had aborted you.
If you had half a brain and ever used it you would be dangerous.
Report me please.
Good evening.

Don't you think each person should have the right to choose their OWN faith or lack thereof?
With VERY few exceptions, abortion is NEVER a humane option.

Okay, so let me get this straight. God creates all life. He allows a woman to coceive a child because she had sex with someone. He evidently already has a plan for that child's life and a desire for that child to grow to love Him, and has already given that growing child a free will to choose for him/herself whether or not to follow God. Now, you are suggesting that because there is only a less than 50% chance that a particular child might choose to become a Christian, it is far more humane to dismember and suck out this growing child in a barbaric fashion so that the child would not take the chance of making the mistake of choosing not to spend eternity in Heaven. Never mind the fact that the world is currently filled with billions of people, all of whom have the freedom to choose for themselves what type of eternity they will have. The choice has not been made for them.
What you are suggesting is that we make the choice for these innocent little children, that they are going to grow up being incapable of making the correct choice, and we are deciding that despite the fact that God loves them and will give them many opportunities and chances to follow Him, BECAUSE He is a loving God and desires that "not one shall perish", we should still murder them by brutal means (watch an abortion and you will see) in order to save their soul from hell. That is a twisted type of thinking. All I can say is that it is a good thing your own mother did not share your same viewpoint, or you would not be here to pose this question. Heck, if we followed your thinking, then why did God not kill us all at birth so that we wouldn't sin and could therefore go to Heaven to be with Him right away? To take it even further, why did He even create us at all? WHY??? Because He desires to give life to us all, and for us to enjoy our lives and to be happy, and He desires to commune with us, and to ultimately make the choice to continue communing with God in Heaven.
He could have made us into robots who will conform to His will, but out of love for His created beings, He gave us the freedom to choose to follow Him. He only takes us out of this world when either He knows we would be better off in Heaven rather than to suffer here on this earth, or because He knows we will be in Heaven and our death will serve a purpose to help/bless/benefit others in some way, or when He knows that our hearts are hardened and despite how many chances He has given us to follow Him, we will never, ever choose God. For those particular people, God could have not made them at all and saved them and Him the trouble. Still, everyone has a purpose for living, and God created us all with the freedom to choose. He wants to give EVERYONE the chance to live, be happy and then to be with Him for eternity. It's not HIS fault if we foolishly reject this Gift. Leave the innocent children alone. They deserve every chance at life as much as those of us who are already here. They probably deserve an even greater chance at life than a lot of folks.

If you believe this, then YOU submit yourself to the same treatment and see how it feels. It is not humane and your argument doesn't even begin to address the concerns about psychological problems postabortion or the physical problems (rupture of the uterus, infertility, adhesions etc.)

Any baby that is aborted will go right back to heavenly father, he wont go to hell.

I believe that abortion is only good if the embryo is not growing and or dies. And only if it is not feeling pain.
We will not burn forever. We will burn for the sins we have done. But Satan Is the one who is gonna be burning for a while. Read the bible trust me.

Maybe you should allow the fetus to live and then ask them, did you think of that?
Otherwise it is murder. There is no humane murder of an innocent.
