I think you should cut some layers into it to play up the volume, it seems to have worked for me.

Try buying some curling musse ... when you get out of the shower, towel-dry your hair. Then, with musse on your hands, run your fingers through your hair, so all of it is covered. After that, take about a 2-inch chunk of hair and twirl it around your finger, making a spiral. This will give your hair definition, volume, and great curls, even though your hair is wavy.

I saw it on Style Her Famous on the Style network. I suggest John Freida curling musse. I don't have curly or wany hair, but my sister does, and that's what she uses. Her hair looks awesome!

I hope this helps. Good luck =]

Always use a salon quality thickening spray, like Catwalk brand, just to fatten up the strands.

Then spray it with hairspray and use a good curling iron.

or

Spray it with liquid get and scrunch it with your fingers

or, my fav, get out of the shower and curl your hair around your fingers, bobby pin it into place, hairspray it wait for it to dry or blowdry and undo it from the pins.

Also you can try getting it cut into layers, there is ways stylists can give you thicker looking hair with scissors.

Good luck

If it's thin and wavy, your best bet is a short, layered cut. You can use mousse or other setting products to make the hair "wave" the direction you want it to. Check with your stylist who can also recommend products that can "volumize" your hair, to give it more thickness.

I have this same problem! What I did was go to the beauty-supply store and get some fakie hair with those jaw-clips attached to them. I can pull it back in a little ponytail and clip that baby around it, it makes your hair look 10x thicker, and they come in so many styles: curly, spikey, ringlettes - my hair color was easy to match. I'd just give it a shot and see what you can find - good luck!!!

Leave it natural! Thats my #1 suggestion. It seems like you don't like it natural! If it's poofy, make it thinner (layer it). If its thin leave it one layer and let it poof and u can use sunsilk (yellow) to help too. Or, if you want straight hair, go to a salon and get it temporarily straightened ( it stays straight for months). Thats all I can think of!
