A recent question I asked was about wishing Elizabeth Edwards THE BEST as she faces a recurrence of her breast cancer, this time in her bone structure. 5% (5 people) voted NOT to wish her the best, and also offered an insulting comment to her husband. I know that politics in America has caused extreme divisions among all of us, but is it going too far (at least for civilized human beings who have at least a shred of decency) to wish a cruel death to the wife of a politicial candidate whom you may not support?

Yes it is pure ignorance, People want to push the political agenda, regardless of what the issue pertains too.

I have cancer and I am democrat, would you wish me ill because of my political beliefs, its asinine and inhumane
it just goes to show the heartlessness of idiots that have to throw politics at everything

it's pretty sad that those 5% didn't wish her the best, I feel sorry for them, they are so little minded that they can't be humane to others. They must be so full of bitterness to be so mean. It says alot about people when they act like that, that they are the ones with some real issues, and yes, it's going to far to be like that. I've had cancer and know what it's like and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I guess in the big scheme of things people like that find out later that what they wish comes back at them, what goes around comes back around.

It is a very small person who can't think of others. I'm not going to lie, it's pretty damn shocking. The fact that anyone would vote that way is troubling. I may not always agree with peoples' political views, but I would NEVER wish pain or suffering on anyone. I didn't see your last posting. It would have disturbed me too.

I feel very sorry for Elizabeth Edwards I am facing very similar situation and have been sick for a long time...what bothers me the most is that her husband is so selfish to continue on in the stupid race ...for what !!! he is not going to win and he will never get back the time that he wasted running the stupid race instead of being a support for his wife.....he is scum in my book for his lack of support....

I agree, it's sad and mean. She is someones mother, sister wife...etc, just like the person who wrote those cruel comments. Suffering is hard for anyone regardless of their status and should be comforted just the same. I send my prayers both to her and the cold heart who suggested otherwise.

All we can do is forgive them . . they just don't understand and probably never will. I would not wish cancer on my worst enemy.
