I really like this guy, but he's popular, and I'm not, but I have no clue if has these feelings for me, what should I do??? Should I tell him, or back down

Go up and just ask him out...the worst he can do is reject you. If that happens, it's not the end of the world. And you'll know if he likes you back or not...all you have to do is ask. If he doesn't like you.. move on. But you won't know if you don't try and you'll always wonder...What if ??

I DONT THINK YOU SHOULD BACK DOWN. I THINK YOU SHOULD INVESTAGATE. TAKE THE TIME TO FIND OUT SOME OF THE THINGS HE LIKES. OR DISLIKES. PERHAPES YOU WILL HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON. (FOR EXAMPLE- MUSIC) PERHAPS YOU LIKE THE SAME KIND OR STYLE. THAT CAN LEAD YOU INTO A CONVERSATION. THIS WOULD BE A GREAT PLACE TO START. YOU MAY DISCOVER THAT YOU DONT LIKE HIM AS MUCH AS YOU THINK AFTER YOU ACTULLY START TO TALK TO HIM. OR ON THE OTHER HAD YOU JUST MIGHT FIND A GREAT FRIEND. Don't let school "staus" stop you from getting to better know the person you like. If he doesn't like you based just on the fact that you're not "popular" [which, btw, doesn't exist in university/college] than he's a shallow jerk who's not worth your time and will realize what he lost in the long run.

It doesn't matter if he's popular or not. Just tell him how you really feel and if it was meant to be, it will happen. I've had lots of instances like that except they were with girls and sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, it just depends if it was meant to be, or if it doesn't happen right away(which, don't expect it to), it will just take time for something to happen.

General rule is that if there's something you like you have to go after it. But do so tactfully. Meaning don't come on strong, don't make a fool out of yourself, be natural and normal. Be yourself. If this guy is attracted to you, he'll respond.

he probably does not have any idea that u like him but it will be best to just start talking to him as friend that way he can learn to like u just a simple hi will do then go on from there. then when he knows who u are let him know u like him. because if his a jerk u dont want to let any guy know u like them at first u have to start by talking to them then they will get the idea lol good luck with that

so what if he is popular....i once lost someone cos i didnt believe that they fancied me corr he was a dish...yrs later i found out he wanted to go out with me i htought his mate was joking...god was and am i gutted...its what you both want and sod the rest would they be putting what other people thought first...tell him ask him but please dont back down..and what damage can it do...put on a face if he says no and say you wouldnt want to loose him as a friend anyway....

I think you should casually hint that you like him by flirting and other things. After a while if he seems interested in you, ask a friend if he/she will ask your crush what he thinks about you. Then you will know your answer, and know if you should tell him or not.

Try to become friends with him first. Then, subtly give him hints you like him. If he doesn't show interest, back off. You never know, he might like you later. If he doesn't, at least you have a new friend!=]
