Dia is Muire agat is pronounced dees morah git - it means literally 'God and Mary with you', and is used as 'hello'.

hmmmmm........I don't recognise the pronounciation that you've given.......can you type out the actual irish of the text.....was it something like "Dia is Mhuire duit!" -which is hello...
