Sell the cake instead.If your cake is good, people will ask for the recipe, which you will not give them, of course, because you will be making more money selling the cake in the long run than you will get for a one time sale of your recipe.

First, you need to make sure that your recipe is unique. There is a marketing theory that to sell anything your need to be 10% better or 10% different. However, this can get you in a pinch if someone thinks it's too close to their already marketed idea. If you cake is trully unique then you can do several things. You can enter it into a cooking contest or bake-off, the prize money from these are basically your payment for the recipe. You can try to find a local or local offices of culinary companies and walk in with samples, recipe pages with your name and as many other markers on it as possilble. Offer samples to as many employees as you can, moving up the company ladder.

you should make it and try to sell it at a local restaurant or at a flea market. just get people to try it. then they will place orders with you and you should take off from there. if you only want to sale the recipe people have to be able to taste what you are selling

well if its good try giving it to neighbors for Christmas or holidays then if they ask for more charge em then try and sell it at like bake sales and stuff
