Well first take a cloth or towel put ice in it and place it at the back of your neck. Try taking some Oridus Kt (excuse spelling) and go in a dark room. If it doesn't go away go to the emergency room.

I'm having the same problem. I have severe migraines but we had them under control and then BAM....Pain for over a week. Tried everything, meds, prescriptions and over the counter and behavorial things... Neurologist sent me to the ER for pain management, which worked for a short time. I'd definately go to the ER, especially if headaches aren't something that's considered "normal" for you. Could be a sign of a more serious condition and at the very least you'll get some relief, if only for a little while. Try Excedrin Migraine too. Has caffeine in it and works sometimes for me.... Good Luck. Hope you feel better soon.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck.
Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at

Pls go to the ER right away. This could be a warning sign of a possible stroke.

This is not to alarm you, but to be honest with you, it can be much more serious than a simple headache. I would definately go and see your doc., and not ask for troubles.

It might be a sinus headache since taking pain medications doesn't help. If it is, you need a decongestant.
