So my cousin just had a baby girl. Long story short, we were talking and neither of us know how I would be related to her daughter, if at all. Am I related to my cousin's daughter, and if so, how?

of course you are related, you are your cousins child's, "Second Cousin" now if that child has a child you are her child's "second cousin once removed", and if you have a child then your cousin's child has a child, that child and your child are second cousins twice removed" but always related! if you know you are in the same blood line you are related!

A cousin is like a distant brother or sister.

uncle or aunt- you are first cousins you chidren and her children are related to each other as 2nd cousins but oddily enough your considered uncle or aunt
