i dont have a credit card or very much money. so why does it cost so much? and im only looking for my 2 half brother matthew and luke alvarado both in there late 20's.

It depends on which state you are searching in, but a private investigator really should be your last resort.

I don't know how much searching you've done on your own so I don't want to post info you've already done, but I can answer the 'why does it cost so much' question.

If they were adopted in a closed records state, you need to jump through a lot of hoops. This can be very time consuming. Also, there are a lot of unscrupulous agencies that prey on separated families. They know how important it is to us to reconnect, and know that many will pay almost anything to get back in touch.
