ok. so you're smart and cute. How old are you? What do you do with your time? do you go to school? Do boys look at you? Do you talk to boys? How do you present yourself? Sometimes it takes a lot more than just being smart and cute to get a boyfriend. You have to look at what's going on around you and pick up on cues. You sound kind of like you might be young. Young guys are extremely shy usually and have no idea how to approach a girl in the right way. I know this might sound stupid, but it will happen in time.
Ok, you say you are 18. My daughter just turned 18 and everyone (except me) wondered why she wasn't dating anyone yet. I made it a point as my kids have grown up to talk with them openly about relationships and personal things. I made it a huge point to encourage my children to be themselves and to never give themselves to another person just because everyone else was doing it. I am proud that my 18 year old didn't make finding a boyfriend a priority in her life! She knew it would come when it did and it did. She began dating a great guy about 6 months ago and honestly, he is a great guy. She waited until her highschooling was nearly over and got a job waitressing to make extra money. Her boyfriend thought she was cute so he kept finding excuses to go eat where she worked...he asked her to a movie and that's all it took. He showers her with love and affection, treats her with respect and kindness. Gives her a gift of flowers and other trinkets. A truly great guy. I attribute this to the fact that my daughter focused on HER life, on doing other things besides boyfriend hunting, on being secure in herself. Many guys that are worth dating find a girl who is secure and confident in herself very attractive. No one wants a needy person who begs for their attention and acts like they can't live without them. GIANT turn off for a girl or a guy. Focus on YOU and other things besides a BOY in your life. Get a job where you come in contact with all kinds of people each day. If that isn't possible, join something that brings you in contact with others each day. Be comfortable with yourself. Take care of yourself. Smile a lot, laugh a lot. care about others and show it. Soon you will draw boys to you like a magnet and you will be able to pick and choose. Just be careful who you choose.
