I think I might go into religion. I have given up on finding a girl because I am too goofy looking. I could never get a girl. I have never asked a girl out, as I would get rejected anyway. Not that I was ever really interested in getting a girl anyway. I always knew it would be a lost cause, and that love is too soft for me anyway, and I can never show any emotions, never mind love. I would get embarassed saying I had a girlfriend, or that I was in love. I have always tried to avoid romance. So I don't know why people tell me to never give up. I am always a quitter. And I am definitely not gay. I have just given up on love.

Sounds like you've given up on love but you never really tried. So yes I think you have fear issues about women and falling in love and low self esteem, because you can't give up on something you never bothered to try at.

just one question: what is religion for you? because God is a God of love, and if you are giving up on love than aren't you in a way giving up on God?
I don't understand why you would go into religion just because you can't find a woman to love. Shouldn't you be making that decision because it is your calling and what you want to do for God?
Why couldn't you just trust God to bless you with someone to love and cherish. There are alot of girls who are "goofy" looking too and might be very shy. I am sure there might be one person for you out there, please don't give up. Especially since it sounds like you really want to love someone, but just don't think that it will ever happen. And what if it doesn't? do you think that religion will help you be satisfied in your life? because God is all you need! Jesus himself lived as a single all his life, being single isn't bad! but shunning yourself from the world is bad if you aren't doing it for the right reasons or if you are trying to escape something (like love).
Please think about this and then make your decision. There is hope and hope can either be found in God or in the blessing of love from God.

Well, my friend married the ugliest, fattest guy alive - literally looks like Sasquatch. But he found someone to marry him which proves that there must be someone out there for everyone. You never know until you try.
