I put on 2 stone in three months recently (July-September - summer break, holiday food!!) , and it's given me the most horrendus stretch marks, they're so depressing..and I wanna get rid of the weight. I'm 9st now, and I wanna be 7 again, I can control anything I eat except dinner which my mum cooks..but that's usually healthy. I skip breakfast and lunch though, should i just eat dinner and exercise, or eat breakfast and lunch, but what would I eat? Help me on my diet! I'm going on a school trip, and I don't wanna look gross in a bikini!!

Skipping meals is definitely not a good idea. Your metabolism slows down as your body goes into starvation mode. It is better to eat several small meals rather than one big one.
The only way to lose weight is to burn up calories, so get moving and eat less. Climbing stairs burns up 1100 calories an hour, so find some stairs and start walking up and down.
It is better to wear a cute one piece than it is to wear a bikini and look bad. There are some really cute swimsuits now. Check out www.blair.com and you'll see some that will make you look slimmer, you'll be comfortable in, and others will want one just like it. Our daughter loves hers.

If you skip meals, your body will go into what is known as "Starvation Mode" and hold on to the fat as it doesn't know when it will be getting its next meal. Nutritionists say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so don't skip it. Not knowing your likes and dislikes it is difficult to advise you what to eat. I'd have some cereal and a banana and maybe take a piece of fruit with you to have mid-morning. If you take a packed lunch with you take some salad and have some lean meat with it or maybe some tuna. A yogurt will do you for a dessert. You say your mum cooks your evening meal and it is usually healthy so that sounds fine. Try not to eat too late. Make sure you drink plenty water and don't get dehydrated.
Do some abdominal crunches to tighten up your stomach muscles. Cardio will burn calories.

Dude, diet if you want... but that's not really productive sometimes. What your really need to do is excercise. Run on a tredmil, sit-ups, bike, jog... anything that works for you! Remember to stay hydrated and you'll be fine. If you skip breakfest you'll be worse than ever. Breakfeast is as important as showering in the morning. Lunch is good too. But if you get in the habbit of starving yourself you'll get really, really sick and maybe die eventually. No diet pills either. They're just as bad as skipping meals. Eat power bars. They rock. Good luck!

skipping breakfast and lunch will leave your body thinking you are starving and it will turn all the food you eat into fat for storage. So eat regulalry and exercise regularly the weight will come off as long as you eat healthily and don't eat all junk food. You can use bio oil to improve the stretch marks.

The worst mistake I ever made was only eating one meal a day. Your body 'grabs' all the fat out of that one meal for fear of being starved.
Eat little & often & dont skip breakfast as this starts your metabolism going & exercise.
And most importantly, treat yourself once or twice a week.
Good Luck! :-)

Get this!, i have lost 1st 1/2 in 6weeks! fruit for breakfast, weight watchers bread with salad for lunch, grilled chicken and veg or salad for tea, and i bought janice from corries work out video and have been doing it every night before i go to bed so that my metabolism is burning the cals off while i am in bed. dont skip meals it turns your body into starvation mode so that it stores anything you do eat. better to eat low cal/low fat stuff small and offten to keep your metabolism going x good luck x

british army rules are as follows:
eat breakfast like a king
lunch like a prince
and dinner like a pauper
when i was on my diet last year i used to drink a pint of water before meals so i didnt feel as hungry, alternatively join slimming world i still do it now and its a boost going back each week to say youve lost weight. as for exercise, just do calorie burning like running or cross trainer and sit ups for uppers abdominals and leg raises for lower abs.

You shouldn't skip brekkie - it makes you more likely to snack mid morning. Eat plenty of fruit & veg, drink loads of water and excersise!
I have to get from 12 stone to 10 - so things could be worse!

try to eat apples for breakfast & lunch to give you some energy, they are not fattening.
it's better to look healthy than too thin.also it's not a shame to be fat, I think it's much more attractive to be a little plump than too thin & unhealthy. don't worry too much about your weight;Always remeber in life, it's more important that you're a good person inside than what you look like on the outside.

not eating does not help lose weight.. you need food fuel to get metabolism working. breakfast is most important meal of day, as it kick starts your system. eat little and often, avoid fatty foods dieticians reckon that 5 small meals is better for digestion than one large.
