No, but if someone is a diabetic and their blood sugars are not under control when they get pregnant it can cause problems with the pregnancy. I am a diabetic and I had 3 miscarriages before I finally had my son, but the blood sugar issue (Along with extreme stress due to my husband almost dying) cause the placenta to seperate from the wall of the uterus and my son was born at 29 weeks and spent 10 weeks in Children's hospital.

I doubt there is an actual connection between sweets and fertility but eating too many sweets could make you unhealthy and poor health could affect your fertility. For optimum fertility you should eat a balanced diet of vegetables, fruits, protein, and carbs, exercise regularly, take a multivitamin, and maintain an ideal weight.
