Even if they are treated regularly, I don't have it I am just curious.
Or do people with Lupus just live out their lives normal only with medication and flares?

Yes you can die. some people with lupus have a mild condition ,which is treated with med's but other's can have serious life threating complications.Lupus is a multisystem disease,but certain organs are more affected more commonly than others.Some people with lupus could have kidney failure,heart attacks and strokes.

Some people have died from Lupus because of the severity of it on their body (this is the one they call the systemic kind). And some with the systemic kind can live for years and years.

Yes and by a personal experince. One of my cousins have died from having Lupus.

Absolutely they can die. But with proper treatment and medications they can live well and do things they want to do.
