If you two really have true love for eachother and you are comfortable with people reactions go for it! Ask yourself this 5 or 10 years from now would you truly love her still if you are not sure when asking yourself that question do not marry her but instead have a committed relationship with her until you really definitely know you could love her when you are 30 and she is 50 years old or when she is 60 and you are 40 if you could still love her in her old age GO FOR IT!

in the history of man-kind,im sure that there has been the pairing of a 20 yr old man to a 40 yr old woman that resulted in til death do us part. but the vast majority of people will find the age difference way too much to handle.perhaps you 2 are among the minority, perhaps not. its up to the 2 of you. best wishes

The 40 year old woman has thought of all the implications for the future and accepted it. So good luck to them both.

It looks ok now but in 15-20 years time then I think the whole thing will be bad. But it depends what your relationship is based on. Either way she is already on her way downhill while he has not experienced enough what the world has to offer.
Each to their own though. There is also the question of children, any existing or future ones.

Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore ? I think the age range 35 to 45 is the sexiest years of a womans life.

He has about 5 to 10years of sex before she starts menopause, then it's good by sex drive.

At that time he will be 30 and she will be 50 and not wanting to do it for him. It will be time to look for a new model like one that is in her 20's.

I have to agree with Yankee guy. If the love is there, then go for it, age ain`t nothing but a number. If he knows how to treat her then good for him, sounds like he know a little somethin, somethin, to have a 40yr old woman all to his self. And he`s learning more!!! *wink*
Good Luck!

It depends on the individual. My hubby is 14 years older than me, but together, we're great. I think though, that you need to really think things through. Marriage is a commitment in any case.
